honey garlic steak and shrimp yellow rice


Ingredients:
For the Steak & Shrimp:
- 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil (divided)
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper (to taste)
For the Vegetables:
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
For the Yellow Rice:
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 1 3/4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt (to taste)

Instructions:

- Heat 1 tosp olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

- Stir in the rice, turmeric, cumin, and a pinch of salt. Toast the rice for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the broth, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
- Fluff with a fork and keep warm.
