*Ingredients:*
- 2 hot dog buns (sliced open)
- 8 small beef or chicken meatballs (4 per bun)
- 1 cup tomato-based sauce (e.g. marinara or spicy arrabbiata)
- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (finely chopped)
*Instructions:*
1. In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté garlic briefly.
2. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides.
3. Pour in the tomato sauce, season, and let simmer until meatballs are fully cooked and sauce thickens slightly.
4. Toast or warm the hot dog buns.
5. Spoon a layer of sauce onto the bun base.
6. Place 4 meatballs per bun in a row.
7. Spoon a little more sauce over them.
8. Sprinkle finely chopped parsley on top.
