custard biscuits


Ingredients:
1. 2 cups all-purpose flour
2. 1 1/4 cups custard powder
3. 2 teaspoons baking powder
4. 320g margarine
5. 1 cup icing sugar
6. 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray.
2. Cream margarine and icing sugar until light.
3. Add vanilla essence and mix.
4. Sift flour, custard powder, and baking powder. Combine.
5. Gradually add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Mix well.
6. Roll dough, cut shapes, and place on tray.
7. Bake 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden.
8. When cold , sandwich with buttercream 

Buttercream Icing Recipe
Ingredients
1. 100g butter, softened
2. 1 1/2 cups icing sugar
3. 2-3 drops vanilla essence
4. 1-2 Tbsp milk

Instructions:
1. Beat softened butter until pale and fluffy.
2. Sift in icing sugar.
3. Add vanilla essence and milk.
4. Beat until light and fluffy.
5. Adjust consistency with extra milk if needed.
