Marble Cake | Soft, Moist & Beautifully Swirled
A soft, moist cake with rich vanilla and chocolate swirls—perfect for tea time or any special moment!
Ingredients:
• 3 eggs
• ½ cup sugar
• ½ cup oil
• 1 tsp vanilla essence
• 1¼ cup flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• ¼ tsp baking soda
• ¼ cup milk
• 2 tbsp cocoa powder
• 2 tbsp milk (extra, for cocoa batter)
Instructions:
1. Make the Base Batter:
o Beat eggs for 1 minute.
o Add sugar and beat until dissolved.
o Add oil and vanilla essence; mix well.
o Sieve flour, baking powder, and baking soda together.
o Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet.
o Add ¼ cup milk and mix to make a smooth batter.
2. Prepare Two Batters:
o Divide the batter: ⅓ for cocoa, ⅔ for vanilla.
o Mix cocoa powder and 2 tbsp milk into the smaller portion.
3. Assemble the Cake:
o Grease a 6-inch cake mould and place parchment paper.
o Pour half of the vanilla batter, then the cocoa batter, and top with remaining vanilla batter.
o Use a toothpick or skewer to create a marble swirl pattern.
